Aging in your 30’s, 40’s, & 50+ doesn’t have to equal wrinkles, sun spots, and extra fat. Most teenagers and adults in their younger 20’s aren’t concerned with aging as they haven’t seen any negative side effects yet. They often drink lots of alcohol, eat unhealthy foods, sunbathe, and choose not to exercise. Unfortunately, these bad habits catch up to us in our 30’s.
As you enter your 30’s, you’ll probably begin to notice some fine lines and wrinkles forming around your eyes and mouth area. In addition, you may notice sun spots or damage in the form of freckles and red dots, skin discoloration, and damaged blood vessels or varicose veins. It isn’t abnormal to see age spots continue to darken along with various pigment changes. While in your 20’s, you might see wrinkles when you looked surprised or smiled but by your 30’s, you’ll most likely have some noticeable wrinkles even at rest.
These subtle changes might not alarm you but it’s likely you’ll be shocked as the changes become more obvious with time. When you notice your wrinkles becoming more defined, deeper, and apparent, you might feel helpless in reversing the damage. While age prevention works best when done early on in your 20’s, there’s still plenty you can do in your 30’s to prevent further skin damage and alleviate some of the wrinkles you’re already beginning to see. We offer treatments such as preventive Botox and your 30’s are the perfect time to take advantage of skin-renewing treatments that can help you avoid further wrinkling.
By your 40’s, your estrogen levels are really starting to decrease. This means your skin will be less elastic, youthful, and full. You might think of receiving treatments such as our Derma Peel or Dermal Fillers like Juvederm in order to plump up your skin. Looking younger is more difficult at this time as your body is fighting against you. Thanks to hormonal fluxes, skin redness and a blotchy appearance is most likely to haunt you at this time. You might look more tired than you feel and notice that extra make up isn’t helping.
Have no fear, there are plenty of treatments that can reduce your wrinkles, even your skin tone, and improve the dark circles under your eyes or droopy appearance that makes you look sleepy or unhappy. Your 40’s are a good time to receive treatments like derma peels, dermal fillers, and Botox. You can still look younger while avoiding the knife. You might consider B-12 and B-Complex injections as well to increase your energy, lose weight, and improve the tone and texture of your aging skin.
Aging past 50 can be tough because there’s only so much you can do to stay younger looking. Apart from taking risks, like plastic surgery, you can still find ways to continue reducing wrinkles, improving skin texture and tone, as well as adding facial volume. In fact, a loss of skin volume is often what gives women that sunken, tired, older look. When your skin loses it’s elasticity and starts to sag, you’ll notice a hollow effect that makes your face droopy and loose looking.
By receiving dermal filler injections you can plump up your face and add volume that will make your skin appear more youthful, lifted, and improve the wrinkled texture. You can also keep receiving Botox treatments to relax your facial muscles to reduce current wrinkles and prevent future wrinkles. Laser treatments are also a great way to improve the quality of your skin along with treatments like PRP injections that naturally increase your collagen levels.
As you can see, you have many options to keep your skin looking younger, more even, and healthy throughout the aging process. While you can’t look 20 for the rest of your life no matter what you do, you can certainly look younger than your current age. Give us a call to schedule your treatment!
