Kybella is an FDA-approved treatment made with deoxycholic acid which destroys the fat cells beneath your chin. Deoxycholic acid is actually a substance that’s already found naturally within your body and is used to break down fat. By injecting deoxycholic acid directly under your chin, we target the fat cells beneath your chin and your body takes care of the rest. Once the Kybella injection destroys your fat cells, it takes a few weeks for your body to release those cells naturally. Once that happens, the fat cells are gone for good.
